STARGAZER FORECAST OCTOBER 2016

… OF MAGIC AND MASTERY

Mercury begins the month by retracing its’ steps through the last decan of Virgo, clearing the airwaves and removing the residue of the prior 8 weeks as clarity and conviction resume. By the 11th, a long sought after breakthrough is likely as the third Mercury – Jupiter conjunction signals the beginning of a new cycle of growth and expansive activities. Publishing or media can feature, though this energy is equally helpful for articulating our feelings in a relationship and mending fences that may have been damaged over the prior phase.

Mercury leaves shadow on the 7th, swiftly entering Libra for a brisk two weeks. The pace is socially oriented and art events and creative activities can really be enjoyed, especially with well heeled friends or associates. Look for clues around October 4th, when Mercury transits the degree of last months’ Pisces eclipse (September 16th). News or a decision regarding events around that time can now be finalized and put into place. September was a messy month, and it’s around this time we can really find the closure we seek and genuinely move forward. Missed and mixed messages finally reach their intended audience.

Intense Lunations this month feature wild card Uranus conjunct the Aries Full Moon (October 16th) and a passionate New Moon in Scorpio connecting to mystical and visionary Neptune from Pisces on the 30th. Many big changes are afoot, and a sense of new beginnings and transformation should prevail. There is a real keg fire quality to the events of mid month, with Uranus in play there can be a real desire to authentic self expression at any cost, with bridges burned in the melee provoked, so watch where you light those matches, Sparky. The 30th allows us to release all the tough Scorpio lessons of the last 3 years and rekindle our relationship to passion. The Moon is smitten with Neptune at this time, making this one really sparkly, romantic, glamorous and inspirational. This vibration makes for an especially magical All Hallows celebration.

SATURN SQUARE NODES: FACING THE FUTURE

Saturn is prominent in October, traveling further from the hazy auspices of Neptune that provided so many challenges over the last year, while moving swiftly into a square with the nodes, an aspect that comes most precise around October 8th. Saturn represents time and structure, endless and relentless – the nodes the past and future, as well as destiny and where opportunity for development lies. With Saturn in this position, we come to a pivotal place in our journey. A crucial assessment occurs here. Are we moving in the right direction? Have we truly embraced where we are headed? Taskmaster Saturn may well ask, are you ready to do the work to get there and do you posses the skills required?

The nodes represent a direction in space and our current evolutionary orientation, with the path we should travel indicated by the North Node and thus what we set behind as we move towards that direction, it’s polar or axis opposite, the South Node. On their own they don’t provide a specific atmosphere the way the planets in signs do.

It’s only when the nodes become activated by transiting planets (and of course, most notably, during strong eclipses, which is why these periods are so volatile!) that their influence is most readily experienced and thus able to integrate. Nodal contacts are meant to get us back on course, to embrace that path we are supposed to travel. With Saturn’s highly pressurized, diamond making abilities stimulating that course, this transit presents an opportunity to realign with that objective, though there is equally a painful reminder of what we have left behind or surrendered in order to do so as a consequence of those choices. As much of the year has served thus far, the advancement of life choices, agendas or enterprises that transpired in 2013 is the ongoing theme here.

In this case you may want to think back specifically to September of that year. It was at that time a North Node – Saturn conjunction took place at 8 Scorpio (sextile Pluto 8 Capricorn, no less). Goals set or endeavors that unfolded in that period are being tested and recalibrated now. Our agenda undergoes a period of crisis and transformation as Saturn reaches this pivotal point. The nodes appear to travel backwards, so the current evolutionary objective resides in Virgo. The house being transited in your chart is “where” (the evolutionary emphasis and greatest opportunity for growth is present) and the energy symbolized by the sign representing “how” you will get there.

Again there is the theme of “are you ready to work for it” and with Saturn in the mix these are long range objectives, things you spend many years of your life working to manifest. When you get there, the feeling of accomplishment is so immense, because it requires determination to overcome the many obstacles and because nothing short of mastery of self and the material world also played a role in your success. With the North Node active you should find if you are doing the right things, doors open up for you. If you make the effort and get out of the comfort zone things fall into place. With Saturn the work here is doubled, and the square suggests the sacrifices could feel enormous at this time. You are acutely aware of what you are letting go of as you reach to obtain the future you know intuitively you have to move towards.

Mars in Capricorn (through November 9) amplifies this all enormously. The tenacity required to get what we want is available right now. There is a rough and ready quality to October and you can go very far this month if you are willing to focus your activities, dig in and put in the work. Mars harmonizes the nodes on the 15th (from 12 Capricorn), making this a productive day for insight and advancement. Mars conjunct Pluto at 15 Capricorn on the 19th initiates a two year cycle of transformational activities and reclamation of power. There can be malevolence with this aspect when used for personal gain, and even violence. At it’s best and highest this represents a true merger between two entities that seek catharsis through their affiliation. Together they make something so much bigger, better and especially – powerful. From Capricorn this could indicate a business merger is big possibility, but look specifically to where this falls in your chart to see where you will experience this dynamic surge of energy as this is where you will be making a crucial and life changing commitment.

A SPRINKLING OF FAIRYDUST…

Venus in Sagittarius (from the 19th) and Jupiter in Libra will keep the ambience outgoing, social and genuinely positive. A unique aspect forming on the 25th – 26th draws together Jupiter and Venus in mutual reception (Jupiter rules Sagittarius, transiting Libra, while Venus rules Libra, transiting in Sag.) forming a sextile while both align with visionary and inspirational Neptune. Meanwhile, Moon in Virgo conjuncts the North Node! Amazing! There is something quite romantic and magical about this configuration. Affection and generosity will be enhanced. The alchemical Jupiter – Neptune quincunx (Venus and Neptune will be square,) adds a fairytale connotation to the whole vibration, while Moon to North Node means we are emotionally and intuitively attuned to the appropriate path we should be on. Good fortune comes where we have prepared for the road to the future. It’s a really divine atmosphere and something quite significant may come to fruition under these auspices.

oct26

The following day, Sun and Mercury conjunct at 3 Scorpio, signaling the beginning of a new four month cycle of activity and communication. The following 6 weeks are the most productive period of the Mercury cycle, and it’s likely events that have transpired over the recent days stimulate the agenda here. We will see the objectives and projects we initiate now come to fruition over the next four months.

ARIES: The pace is accelerating in all key areas of your life right now. A significant personal milestone can be reached mid month, as the Full Moon in your sign on the 16th pulls the trigger on an exciting chain reaction that lasts through the New Year. A new or developing relationship might be the cause of celebration and excitation. The unexpected features largely here, and you may be the recipient of a new, prestigious role professionally or through your university. The 29th brings all the details to light. A lost connection can be rekindled after the 7th. You’ll find it much easier to express yourself to the one you care for. Your drive and determination can take you far, but be wary of power dynamics NSFW around the 19th. From there the vibe gets enticingly romantic, especially where you can expand your boundaries through a love relationship. Someone who can take you out of the familiar or routine will be particularly appealing, especially on the 26th.

TAURUS: There are promising alinements in your chart for love, and a relationship thrives especially where you can get out of the comfort zone and embrace broader horizons. The 1st and 5th have wonderful vibrations that enhance your romantic desires and make them easier to fulfill. A New Moon on the 30th shows you how far you have come on the road to love, the doldrums and dead ends so much in the rear view mirror for you. Work life, and particularly the work you might be doing behind the scenes is featured after the 23rd. A big splash in your industry is possible and your creativity shines in this late October phase. This approach can also help you with a niggling financial issue. Debt or a repayment may need to be restructured, if these issues are crippling to you, then it’s possible to find a solution now. You might find releasing a cherished dream is the sacrifice, but provides you with a long range solution that gives you peace of mind.

GEMINI: The agents of transformation are hard at work in your life right now, making it worthwhile to embrace the adage “Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only change form”. The areas of your life that are seeing closure right now are bleeding life, light and energy directly into new realms of expression and discovery you may not have even considered yet. So it it feels like you are walking through a war zone and the wilderness, keep in mind that the next stage of the cycle is regenerative. This awakening may be aided by a kindred spirit. From the 19th to the middle of next month, love may present itself (the 26th is positively magical!) so look for angels and allies in your midst. A commitment you make on the 29th will stand the test of time. What you feel around this time shows you both how far you have come (as well as how far you still have to go) in your own self awareness.

CANCER: The partnership zone intensifies for you and passions will be very much aroused this month. Very pleasurable vibes for you on the 1st and 5th illuminate your creative potential and can be very enticing for romantic encounters. The heat is on (although this “heat” can equally be produced by conflict) in your committed relationships, especially around the 19th. This potent and dynamic period can produce a breakthrough (or equally a breakdown) in your couple as very transformative forces come to play in the life of your partner. The effects these have on you will be meaningful, and potentially create a shift in the balance of power. Set aside expectations for the time being, life is changing swiftly and accelerating circumstances (especially those ignited mid month) carry over into the super sweet and good vibrations you get at the end of the month during the loverly New Moon in Scorpio on the 30th. Also on fire (proverbially) this month is your profession, with a surprise – surprise!! coming in around the 16th during a highly eventful Full Moon in Aries. Depending on how you feel about your current standing in your profession, you might just bite the bullet an make an unanticipated change yourself. Good luck!

LEO: You manage to work out some of the trickier dynamics in the financial realm early this month, though still have numerous opportunities to evaluate and develop sources of income for a while longer. This can be a hardworking phase for you, though tough energy at the office or on the job (mainly relating to dominating personalities,) continue to make for a contentious environment. This will be particularly hard to avoid around the 19th. Mid month could present an exciting opportunity for an unexpected trip or journey. If you are already planning to be away, you can expect an eventful adventure! Very pleasurable and alluring vibrations come your way from the 18th as Venus opens the doors to pleasure from your arena of true romance. Your energy may be a bit low around the 7th, take care with some R+R. Disengage if you cannot see the point of view of a difficult person. Domestic life and the family remain a large priority, and you are rapidly seeing improvements in this arena. You can make a significant change for the better around the New Moon on the 30th, and you may wish to enhance your surroundings with art or decorative objects that inspire you.

VIRGO: The love life can get exciting this month as high energy levels infect your area of true romance and creativity. You’ll seek to express yourself and your affection within a love relationship. The 5th, 11th and 19th are dynamic for breakthroughs, especially if your hopes for a commitment had been dashed or a relationship faltered over the Summer months. Meaningful mergers can be made under the auspices of the Full Moon on the 16th. An unexpected overture can send your heart soaring. You can connect deeply with your lover when you are willing to be completely honest about your expectations and especially your sexual needs and desires. This level of trust brings you to a new level of intimacy. Addressing the domestic challenges gets easier from the 19th. If your place is radiating a spartan sort of appeal or feeling cold to you, spruce it up with a few decorative objects or paint a single wall a stunning, but subtle shade of rose. The shift in consciousness will uplift your spirit immediately. The New Moon on the 30th is significant for a love relationship. Express your heart’s desires to the one you cherish.

LIBRA: The ambience is dynamic and eventful with much going on in so many significant sectors of your life this month. A relationship may get a reboot, mid month is the time to go for your heart’s desire and lay it all on the line in the name of love. A partner must connect with you in an authentic way to win you over, and friendship is a huge part of that. There’s a super-dynamite-wow factor in your relationships around the Full Moon (Oct. 16th) and exciting culminations and dramatic endings could all be highlighted. If you aren’t getting what you want and need on the reals, you might be the one lighting the match at the keg fire. One way or another, a big kaboom is coming. Home and heritage also feature and you might be delving into your family history or uprooting yourself to make a more enduring domestic commitment. The 19th can be revolutionary for a breakthrough related to your childhood or living arrangements. The final week features some very pretty and glamorous vibes, even better if you are traveling or engaged with an artistic association somehow. Business commitments and contracts made towards the end of the month benefit your long range goals.

SCORPIO: You finally get a chance to rectify the mistakes of the past and clear up certain issues with certain someones in time for a new beginning set to take place for you during your New Moon on the 30th. With Saturn and more recently Mars causing so many personal grievances for you over the last 3 years, it certainly will be wonderful to turn a new leaf and page. For now, reflection is due and to make the most of your new beginning you really need to to find closure and make peace with the past. Forgiveness may be a part of this, but also being aware of your own short comings and realizing where you, too, made a mistake or two is a part of this process. With benefic Jupiter aiding the proceedings, you likely find that your landing is padded, and the graciousness available to you here (especially around the 26th) is so valuable as you process the endings you are making in this time period. The longer range challenge still remains in your financial realm, with tough indications (but equally opportunities) this month to fix your problems through hard work. There may be a creative solution that makes a big difference in the outcome, or friends may play a helpful role. Mid month may be the final straw at work, or you could finally get a long sought after promotion. A work from home business could escalate. The New Moon taps your love mojo on the 30th. You’ll realize how far you’ve come, so make that wish.

SAGITTARIUS: After so many months hosting cantankerous Mars in your sign, it will likely be an absolute pleasure to find Venus here after the 18th, especially after an exciting Full Moon triggers unexpected, but enticing developments, in the arena of true romance mid month. You can follow your heart’s desire now. The week of the 24th is splendid and you should do as much as you can to reach out to friends or through social events or activities. Financial and professional goals are within reach now though you have to put in the time and work hard for it. The 19th could bring a long range effort to culmination, intense changes are brewing in your financial realm. The New Moon on the 30th clears the way to release the past. Towards the end of the month you may find a need to go under cover and lay low while you strategize your next move. Events around the 30th show you how far you have come. Take on a goal you set but never got around to. Personal adjustments you make now can have a bigger than usual impact in your profession and public role.

CAPRICORN: It’s a real dynamite month for you Cap, with Mars in your sign you can go after what you want in unprecedented fashion. The destination is well in sight now, though an adjustment has to made to your overall strategy or within your subjective self. Look to limiting or negative self talk around the 8th. If you find you are somehow sabotaging your own efforts you have the opportunity now to address (and then eliminate) why. Really exciting events are taking place from mid month, and you may find you are finally holding the reigns and driving the charge here. What occurs around the 19th demonstrates how significantly you have changed over the last several years, and power can be made available to you (or other substantial resources that enable you to experience life to the fullest of your passionate desires) though this is far more likely if you have really put in some efforts towards the self mastery required to be worthy of such an opportunity. Hint: you must acknowledge the contribution of those around you to what you are creating whether in love, business or otherwise. This has to be about a merger that offers the ability to transform – nothing less. Bear in mind to whom you owe what for making such a profound change possible in your life. Better yet if they are aware of your implicit value and mutual contribution. Now you are getting somewhere. Ready… set… BOOM.

AQUARIUS: There are some highly pleasurable moments in store for you this month and a lot of enjoyment can be experienced through social and intellectual exchanges. From mid month daily life gets really vibrant and harmonious energy prevails. The 26th is lovely for connecting with someone in a cultural setting. You can put your best foot forward in such a circumstance. Stirrings of change in your professional life brewing since early this year finally begin to take foot towards the end of the month. With several years of challenge behind you, it’s time to strike out on a new (or improved) path and find your way towards your higher calling once more. The New Moon on the 30th clears the way for such an upswing, with highly inspirational overtones signaling the right direction to take. A lot is going on behind the scenes for you and a sense of closure or endings could predominate. Pay attention to your inner venting: misplaced feelings of frustration or passive aggressive actions can be instructive of behaviors and attitudes you need to release. From next month you will find a fun and dynamic new atmosphere where you can really go after your hearts desires.

PISCES: There are some very intense vibrations this month, but you haven’t quite reached the do or die moment quite yet. There are choices to be made, it would seem that a key partnership continues to shape and play a major role in your destiny. You can pinpoint the time around the 8th to see the most crucial details arise. For the most part the energy is amenable for you, as Venus from Scorpio (through the 18th) continues to enhance your receptivity to pleasure. Engagement on a passionate level is likely in this period and you may find towards the final weeks that deal making, mergers and the financial auspices of others (lenders, banks, patrons ect.) can play a very helpful role in your upward mobility. A significant relationship may also be established with someone who is connected to you professionally, the energy flows both ways. Very sweet vibrations will be present at this time, do be careful you do not misrepresent yourself. Neptune will be afoot and you might seek to bend the truth to make a better impression, but this will backfire. Really good vibes at the end of the month make for a magical Halloween. The New Moon rekindles your visionary inspiration, see where it takes you!

STARGAZER 2016 OVERVIEW: Retrograde Mars – The Renegade Wanderer

The two predominant issues we’ll be dealing with in 2016 will be the mutable cross between Jupiter – Virgo / Saturn – Sagittarius / Neptune – Pisces (with the nodes on the Pisces – Virgo Axis, no less!) and the Retrograde of Mars from Sagittarius back into the dark nether regions of passionate Scorpio during the Summer. Overall, it’s not a bad year, by degrees far less challenging than the last few, and minus a few set backs in the first half, from August things are set to get really, really good. Careful planning and waiting for the right time to execute will yield treasures in December, when a fascinating aspect pattern known as a bowl illuminates and confers incredible achievement, attainment and exciting exchanges.

Mars goes retrograde from April 18th – June 30th (from 8 Sagittarius – 23 Scorpio). The contact of Mars sextile to Jupiter February 13th signals the last outer planetary exchange the fiery planet of impulse and action makes until August 24th, when it conjuncts Saturn. Retrograde energy tends to have a renegade, almost subversive quality to it anyway, as it is perceived to function in a way that does not comply with societal norms somehow. Without influence from outer planets (and even the Nodes) for such a duration, it would seem for most of 2016 Mars is allowed to set much of it’s own agenda, even if that agenda is carried out in slow motion. It seems we’ll be saying goodbye in February (in either mind, body or spirit) as we undertake a personal, and even primordial journey (particularly while Mars transits back through Scorpio in June and July,) in preparation for that momentous meeting with Saturn. The activities we undertake may be highly personal, if not classified or covert, and will most definitely be concealed from the outside world until this Fall.

The retrograde period can signify a reconsideration of how we externalize and pursue our desires. As Venus indicates the way in which we most readily receive pleasure, Mars indicates how we take action to obtain what we want. For a while we might just be unsure of the appropriate course, though equally the thing or person we would seek in pursuit may also be unavailable to receive the advances. It seems either the destination or the route to get there is uncertain. From August, we’ll know precisely where we are headed. For now don’t rush. This is a very important time for soul searching.

A shift in the energy level should be anticipated with a retrograde Mars, as the pace or agenda changes substantially, and you may even intuit this change as early as February. Life doesn’t stop, just the output level changes, and this makes for a difficult period in which to begin new projects. As with any retro phase, we deal with repercussions of the actions we have taken over the prior two years, particularly if they were overtly aggressive or in relation to a masculine partner. It’s possible we’ll reconsider an affiliation, though this will be more likely if Mars is transiting one of the relational houses of your chart (4, 5, 7 or 8).

Mars and Venus, the cosmic lovers, do connect on several occasions, so the love/sex life presumably doesn’t suffer too much. An intimate relationship may in fact be the one thing that keeps us tied to earthbound matters while we take our journey into the hinterlands. From Scorpio (May 28 – August 2), retrograde Mars sees a deep intensification of passion, we’ll long for intimate connection, though we may have to wait until August to fulfill those desires. Perceptible intonations of the delays we experienced last summer (as Saturn transited these precise degrees of the Scorpio/Sagittarius cusp) may resonate. We may not be home free from the time of their conjunction (August 24th), but we have certainly come prepared to move the bloody mountain.

AND VENUS TOO!

Venus and the Sun renew their cycle in conjunction June 6th at 15 Gemini, a rather pernicious placement as it falls smack dab on the mutable cross involving Jupiter (Virgo), Saturn (Sagittarius), Neptune (Pisces) as well as the Nodal Axis. Ouch! It’s possible a relationship stimulated around this time is severely tested by external circumstances. The love is there, but many things vie for and demand attention, and with so much going on it may make it difficult to nurture the relationship. The Sun – Venus conjunction also represents the half way point between retrograde cycles. In 10 months we’ll receive the results of what we initiate at this time when Venus retrogrades in Aries – Pisces next March (2017).

Ongoing relationships will stage up, that is move to the next level of involvement or commitment. With all the Mutable Cross activity, it will be a very active period with much to attend to. This will not be the best time to plan any significant activity, i.e. starting a new business, planning for a vacation or a wedding. The ambience is incredibly vitalized, but there are just too many details to attend to all at once! The square of Sun – Venus to the Nodes suggests the relationship is being evaluated in regard to it’s ability to evolve towards the orientation of the future. This represents a crossroads and an affiliation may be reconsidered. It’s ok to pass on making a big decision for now. After August, when the ashes have scattered and the air has cleared, it becomes much easier to proceed.

A whole lotta Mutable Cross:

Jupiter square Saturn – (August 3, 2015) March 23, May 26 (2016)
Saturn square Neptune – (November 26, 2015) June 17, September 10 (2016)

We continue to see the unravelling effects of the Grand Water trine (Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter) of 2013 into the mutable t-square. We are encouraged/challenged to manifest (Saturn) and expand (Jupiter) a vision or dream (Neptune). All the t- square aspects have already occurred once by December 1st, 2015. This year through September sees realignment and reconfiguration, using the awareness that became stimulated during those initial aspects in Fall 2015 to reorganize our lives. Remember the old saying “third times the charm”? It has to be a reference to Saturn’s retrograde and the three aspects it generally makes as a result. The first aspect signals something requires our attention, the second to see how well we fared in trying to resolve it and then make modifications, the third the conclusive result and our final attempt at resolution. Put it to the test and use the dates above to see how it works out for you! It’s not necessarily bad, or good, it’s just about getting it together and finding a way to serve needs that currently feel incredibly disparate. T-squares stimulate a dynamic atmosphere, sending signals that it’s time to take action and this is not necessarily a bad thing. IMO, it’s way less abrasive than what we endured during the Cardinal Cross and Uranus – Pluto squares over the last few years. Like David Bowie said: Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes.

The Nodes interacting on the Mutable cross does up the ante considerably. The changes we seek or even require to make are tied up with destiny and karma we may not fully understand yet. The most dynamic and challenging aspects are the square of Saturn to the Nodal Axis and South Node to Neptune. Saturn square to the nodes calls us to evaluate the goals we seeded during the conjunction phase (8 Scorpio, mid September 2013,) and place them in the current context of the evolutionary drive represented by NN Virgo. What are we building, and why? (Hey, there’s that 2013 again… I’m seeing a pattern forming, hopefully you do too 😉 This occurs October 8th, at 12 degrees Sagittarius. A crossroads quality is felt very intuitively at this point, and we’ll be making a decision that really sets a course for the next few years based on how well (or not) the late 2013 agenda is panning out. Saturn will conjunct South Node at 20 Capricorn in April 2019, in some way concluding the cycle began during the initial contact at 8 Scorpio, as well as the outcome of the decisions we make during this critical turning point in October.

Conjunctions to the South Node, particularly to Neptune, will reveal what needs to be released. It’s time to get real, so to speak, and the Nodal contacts will be reminders of precisely which behaviors, attitudes and circumstances have passed their expiry date. The most productive use of the South Node contacts is to determine what isn’t working anymore and simply drop it/him or her for the hot mess that it is. North Node in Virgo prizes pragmatism and efficiency after all! Jupiter conjunct NN in January points us in the right direction, and this aspect repeats on June 21st reminding us to stay the course. Squares to the Nodes by transiting planets can be a quite dramatic point of reconciling ourselves to the changes taking place as we realign with the evolutionary journey we are on. How successfully we are managing that reorientation will suggest how intensely we experience the square transits.

The eclipse cycle this year continues to fall on the Pisces/Virgo axis, and for the most part are milder than some we have had over the last few years. Meanwhile the Gemini New Moon June 4th falls right on the Nodal axis, completing the Mutable Cross. (See chart above!) The first two weeks of June are easily the most intense, noisy and complicated of the entire year. This lunation precedes the second Saturn – Neptune square (June 17th) by a couple weeks. With Saturn retrograde at this time, we’re really seeing the karmic implications of what we wrought in November – December 2015. This is a good time, (assuming we can work through everything going on,) to determine the right course based on what we are seeing in June to get on the right track prior to the final Saturn – Neptune square in September. North Node in Virgo reminds us that if we remain methodical and seek a solution, one will come, and a really stabilizing Grand Earth trine from Mercury – Taurus, Pluto – Cap, and Jupiter – Virgo underscores the mania with a steadying current that supports acquisition and material prosperity.

2016 Bowl

JUPITER IN LIBRA + THE BOWL

It’s a pretty safe bet that the first 8 months of 2016 are really just about getting it together and setting the stage for what happens when Jupiter enters Libra on September 10th. While Jupiter in Virgo emphasized our efficiency and aided in the organization of our affairs, from Libra there are going to be some big developments on queue. Be wary of power dynamics that could surface when Jupiter squares Pluto on November 24th. Outside of that, things get really exciting for the rest of the year with very harmonious linkages and the more challenging issues far back in the rear view mirror.

This culminates at the end of the year when a bowl pattern forms linking up the Jupiter – Uranus opposition with Saturn in positive aspect to both. It’s a really brilliant time. It was in June of 2010 that Jupiter and Uranus linked up at 0’ Aries, signaling a very innovative project or new way of thinking was initiated. Also in the mix was Saturn in opposition at 0’ Libra. In January of 2011 we were well on the way to a brand new frontier of being, one that is ready to manifest in the final months of 2016. With Saturn so supportive within this configuration, we have genuinely built something substantial and long lasting into our lives. Venus and Mars transit from Aquarius, harmonizing fruitfully from November into December. This is a really amazing thing, and something to look forward to, especially if there are some dicey or challenging moments in the first two thirds. Look to events around March 6th as well as mid – July as Jupiter and Uranus quincunx in Virgo – Aries. We are compelled to finish the work of the cycle. Things really come together at the end of the year. A strange brew of optimism, innovation and perseverance pay off! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

MERCURY RETRO CYCLES IN EARTH SIGNS

Mercury Retrograde Dates 2016:
January 6th – 26th; 1’ Aquarius – 14’ Capricorn
April 29th – May 23rd; 23’ Taurus – 14’ Taurus
August 31 – September 22nd; 29’ Virgo – 14’ Virgo
December 19 – January 8, 2017; 15’ Capricorn – 28’ Sagittarius

Mercury transits retrograde in the Earth trinity (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) this year suggesting material considerations will factor for all. Resources will be the cause for question and you may wonder more than once where and when the money is coming from, though this is also a positive time for creating new strategies for earnings, savings or investments. Extensive contacts between Mercury and Jupiter/North Node in Virgo aids productivity enormously. Finding efficient ways of doing things proves beneficial and helps reduce expenses. With strong indications between Mercury to the Virgo – North Node/Jupiter and Capricorn/Pluto trine, really substantial growth and prosperity is possible where you are willing to put in the work. Pluto adds a great deal of depth, introversion and intensity to our thought process. We will be driven to find solutions towards tangible and transformative results.

Mercury RX note: In some cases there may be an absent mindedness with possessions, and losing things could pose a potential in this cycle. It may be worthwhile to set aside very important articles such as official documents, heirlooms or jewelry to a safe place, like a safe deposit box.

The 1st retro phase is tied into the Pluto/Uranus square dynamic and can be quite prickly as obstinate and disruptive forces clash and deter our progress throughout January. Hopefully we unentangle ourselves from this one quickly: Mars/Scorpio, Jupiter + North Node/Virgo are supportive in February and steer us back in the right direction.

The 2nd retro phase taps brilliantly into the Jupiter/North Node – Pluto trine, completing the earth trinity from Taurus. The RX cycle lasts the first 3 weeks of May and although we’ll have to make an effort to get the financials in order due to the retrograde, the overall the climate is incredibly productive and positive. Venus from Taurus augments this brilliantly making prosperity a distinct possibility this month.

Retrograde #3 transits Virgo, allowing us to really get to the nitty gritty in our endeavors, especially those that had been compromised during the Mars retrograde transit. Mercury is conjunct Jupiter for several weeks (August 20th – September 9th) and trine Pluto for the last two weeks of September. There will be some delays, but it’s really in this late September, early October period we drive it all home, especially now with Mars finally cooperating. Dream big and look to October 11th for a massive victory!

The final retrograde in December – January 2017 takes place in Capricorn, still in tight alinement to Pluto throughout the end of the year. Uranus has progressed far enough away by now to not be a contentious influence. Mars and Neptune from Pisces are harmonious at the year’s end and will provide a gentle ambience. Creative and visionary pursuits are highlighted, and a strong psychic influence provides access to the astral realms. Enjoy!

STARGAZER FORECAST NOVEMBER 2015

TANGENT NEPTUNE: UNDER THE INFLUENCE

The first week of the month bustles with activity, a pragmatic, but passionate energy is prevalent as Sun transits Scorpio and Venus, Mars and Jupiter continue through Virgo. This is a great time to take action on projects that require organization and attention to detail, as we’ll feel very productive in the days leading up to the compelling New Moon in Scorpio, November 11th. The New Moon connects intimately with the Jupiter – Pluto trine, and has powerful, expansive overtones. Meanwhile, brash Uranus in Aries forms a strange alinement called a Yod impacting the 17’ Aries/Libra midpoint. It seems whatever begins now does so quite suddenly or in a very unexpected way. There may be an astonishing opportunity to engage an innovative new course of activity. For clues think back to what was initiated last March – April. Both the Sun and Jupiter form their exact, individual quincunxes to Uranus in the days leading up to the New Moon, so news may come in on the 5th or 9th that requires swift thinking or decision making. The pace is very brisk and in some cases news or events will be somewhat startling! Get as much of the organizing and nitty gritty detail oriented stuff done as possible during the first week. Venus and Mars move into airy Libra in the second week and the ambience will become quite social, and less work oriented, unless you work in the arts, that is!

Venus from Libra makes several key aspects this month, and lovers and partners will be connecting passionately (Venus conjunct Mars) and making binding commitments (Venus sextile Saturn) in this phase. More disruptive influences (square Pluto/opposite Uranus) suggest reappraisal of these commitments and can potentially signal endings for some. The dynamics these aspects bring on can be destabilizing, but are really just meant to test to durability of our bonds. Venus – Pluto signifies a turning point that will transform a relationship, it will either deepen in intimacy or falter. The Uranus connection can be quite exhilarating. Time to try something new, maybe with someone new? Electrical and impulsive forces will be at work. It’s an exciting month for love! With Venus in play, the areas of love and finance are the foremost indicated, but looking to see the house in your chart Venus is ruler of will also reveal clues as to where you might experience activity at these times.

The Sun – Mercury cycle begins on the 17th from 24 Scorpio. It is from here we set the agenda of our daily activities for the next 4 months. This thrust of our communications will endure and see modification during the next Mercury retrograde phase (January 2016). (I will be including a deeper analysis and guidelines for using the Sun – Mercury cycles in my 2016 report.)

The Neptune – Saturn square forms exact this month, it’s possible the curtain rises on an inconvenient truth, shattering an illusion that we have for too long turned a blind eye to. This is an undertone that will affect us for the coming year, with the third, final aspect occurring (due to the retrograde periods) September 2016. Neptune energy can be quite elusive and evasive, though the reasons for this are actually far more complex than one might realize, and can be rooted in deep feelings of inadequacy or shrouded in such intensified idealism that it makes it impossible to settle for anything that exists in the ordinary world. Neptune far prefers the fantasy to the reality and would much rather create the perfect a scene in the imagination than to deal with the real flesh, blood and potential imperfections a confrontation in meatspace might reveal. This can be especially pernicious in relationships where we might keep our partner at a safe distance, just far enough away to not have to observe what might be undesirable characteristics while indulging perpetually in fantasy about the circumstances, padding the details with what we fancy rather than what’s real. This applies to any area in which Neptune is operating in your chart right now (read for your ascendant for the dirty details). There can be some anxiety accompanying this transit where we realize we have deluded ourselves about circumstances or individuals we had chosen to perceive as faultless. Beneath that gauzy and alluring veneer, we begin to see the cracks, and the extent to which this illusion has been perpetuated, the harder it will be to ultimately accept this reality.

Saturn, on the other hand is only about what’s real, and has a reputation for being tough or harsh, particularly where our deepest sense of idealism would seek to prevail. The interaction of these two, will thus be problematic where we have entertained an illusion rather than the truth. Neptune seeks to release and let everything go. Saturn is about taking responsibility and administrating over the environment in which it finds itself. Whereas Neptune represents a situation we may have idealized, Saturn is about getting serious and with these two acting upon each other some friction where we must acknowledge the distinction between fact and fiction. Neptune represents the ability to transcend, whereas Saturn tends to be the work and obligation that we are trying to transcend. It’s easy to knock Saturn, but keep in mind, it is this planet that offers security, stability and maturity. The themes of “getting real” and accepting and setting some boundaries becomes important over the coming year. In several ways, seeing the reality of a situation and removing some of the fuzzy edges from our vision can be a really positive adjustment. By acknowledging the truth of what is and what is not yet, we can get to work on materializing the vision Neptune is providing when reality comes up short.

It’s also possible something really quite lovely is emerging, that serendipity has brought forth an extraordinary and beautiful circumstance, though perhaps it is not yet tenable within your life structure. In this case this aspect will challenge you to confront this now and throughout next year to build a structure that will be supportive to this. There is the potential that the desire to obtain the divine and etherial essence Neptune is expressing for us individually will drive us to overcome a major obstacle. In this way the theme over the next 10 months can be be making the unreal or impossible into the real.

The vast reorganization required from now through next September likely stems back to circumstances that had coalesced in mid 2013. Jupiter/Cancer, Saturn/Scorpio and Neptune/Pisces sat in a comfortable trine, and developments during this period were easy to make and lent to a positive and stable emotional ambience. The the test now is to rearrange our lives around all that has happened since, to take what was learned from the highly introspective and cathartic Saturn – Scorpio phase and turn it out into the world at large. The original conjunction occurred in 1989, (if you can remember that far back, 😉 ) so something that began for you personally in that period is being triggered. To the extent we have not lived up to the visionary desires of Neptune, this period can be one of getting it together and going for it. A square aspect provides tension and frustration, but this energy creates the friction necessary to stimulate us to take action. Saturn in Sagittarius is a diamond tipped arrow, the issue with Saturn in the apex of the Nodal T-square is where you need to set your target. From November 12, 2015, that target is where Virgo (transiting North Node) lies within your chart.

As Saturn works upon Neptune, so does Neptune’s dissolving qualities affect Saturn, and it’s ability to build in concrete terms. Over the next year or so, it’s possible to feel a pervasive sense of futility in trying to organize the affairs of the house being transited by Saturn as well as in life in general. There may be an existential crisis at a very quiet, subjective level transpiring over the course of this transit, a niggling sense of “why bother?” that may hinder our undertakings. This will become most critical as Saturn squares the Nodal Axis next year, and when the South Node conjuncts Neptune in late October – early November 2016.

Unlike, say, a disruptive Uranus influence, the quality of energy expressed by a Saturn – Neptune combination is slow and pervasive. It’s unlikely a single event will send your life spiraling into disarray, rather expect a process to unfold over the next year which will require an appraisal of both the long range goals (Saturn) and the vision-inspiration-intuition (Neptune) which could provide a challenging balance act. The final aspect occurs September 10th, 2016 so it’s from here we will see some relief and resolution, though the South Node conjunction to Neptune aspect that follows in November next year indicates the need to release a heavy burden related to the Neptune issue. This can be quite cathartic, actually, especially where the negative attributes of Neptune (addiction, illusion, dissipation) are being eradicated. In the event we fought to preserve an ideal state, we may be very disappointed over what we fought for, particularly if we learn this was bull shit all along. In this way the Saturn square is very useful and instructive, it points us to our potential blind spots and gives us time reconcile our issues prior to the South Node transit, which will be far more brutal if we let those Neptune issues slide too far out of control.

If you recently moved or made substantial changes you reap the rewards now through increased vitality and productivity. Mercury brings in the details from the 3rd – 20th. From this place of greater stability you find you are really ready to engage in a pleasure pursuit, as creativity and romance feature largely while Venus (from November 9th) and Mars (November 13th) transit the house of self expression and love affairs. Saturn in the 7th (committed partnerships) urges maturity in matters of the heart meanwhile, and there are good prospects on tap on the 13th and 24th. A Full Moon in your sign on the 25th points you towards a very significant encounter, and bring clues about what you might encounter over the coming year ahead. Professional challenges on the 26th give way to a new vocational direction or understanding in your career.

CANCER: A really marvelous personal development is in store around the Scorpio New Moon on the 11th, connecting with the remarkable Jupiter – Pluto trine October 11th, a creative project or love relationship is really taking off in this phase. A Mercury transit affects this area simultaneously, and you’ve definitely shaken off the blues Saturn may have left in the wake of it’s transit here in 2012 – 2014. A fresh perspective on life is possible and augmented by very positive vibrations in your domestic and personal life at this time. Here as well, the challenges of the Eclipses subside to offer a brighter and better future. Issues may get a bit hairy on the 20th or 23rd, not all the dust has settled yet. Saturn square Neptune on the 26th may see you seriously contemplating if not abandoning a concept related to education, publishing or broadcasting that has proven too elusive to realize. It’s not impossible to make this thing happen, but does require extensive modification if you continue to try for it. This ties back to events or awareness that stem back to Summer of 2013. Success is still possible, but there will be a challenge to overcome in this period.

LEO: A really positive new era begins in regard to your personal life and home is featured around the time of the Scorpio New Moon on the 11th. This ties right into the positive financial upswing you’ve experienced since August. A new job and increased earnings very likely makes a residential move possible at this time. A hard working phase comes to conclusion by mid – month, allowing for social developments and good times with friends, sibling and neighbors, with whom you wish to share in your good fortune. A Full Moon on the 25th is wonderful for attending a social event or party. A Venus – Mars conjunction on the 1st is good for making a purchase or setting new financial goals. You may splash out and show a loved one a fabulous time or purchase an expensive gift. Mercury keeps you busy with domestic matters through the 20th. After that you seek out avenues for self expression and pleasurable experiences. You can meet a compelling love interest in this phase, with a particularly interesting, if not unexpected twist around the 23rd. A harsh reality check on the 26th regarding a debt, other peoples money or disillusionment in an intimate relationship is a possibility unless you (and the one you have chosen) have been completely honest in all your undertakings. If not, extensive modification will be required to remedy a challenging situation.

VIRGO: Communication is featured this month as the Sun and Mercury light up the area of chart associated with day to day life and sharing information. Social activities and correspondence are very favorable at this time. With Mars still in your sign, your words have strength and conviction. You can make quite an impression when Venus and Mars conjunct in your sign on the 2nd, most likely on a potential partner, if you choose to. The New Moon is Scorpio heralds a new lifestyle, and the pace of life becomes brisk and exciting from this time onward. Venus (November 9th) and Mars (November 13th) turn your attention towards earnings, perhaps through a creative discipline or in a field related to beauty, luxury or leisure. A Full Moon on the 25th highlights a significant professional achievement, making you visible if not sought after in your industry. The 26th can reveal a contentious situation at home or with a spouse or partner. One is just not serving the other, and you may even learn of a deception in regard to your property at the hands of another. This is an extreme example, but you should be prepared for all manner of unusual things to emerge in this period. It’s possible your residence is somehow hindering your desire to make a deeper commitment within partnership. Love has fated overtones from the 11th, the eclipses this year gave clues to this. Your’ rapidly evolving sense of identity plays a major role in the kind of person you see yourself with: as the mirror of your self image is changing, so too will the image you seek to convey through your relationship.

LIBRA: A massive financial opportunity is revealed during the New Moon in Scorpio on the 11th. The trials and tribulations you confronted during the Saturn transit of this area in 2013 – 2014 may turn up an extraordinary source of income at this time. Pluto and Jupiter positively augment developments, offering a really powerful and dynamic source of prosperity. Crucial conversations or activity on the 17th pave the way. It’s a possibility your home is in some way connected, or the financial upswing you experience at this time allows for a really positive residential upgrade. A partnership is implicated in some way. Expect the unexpected during the first week. A super sexy behind the scenes love mojo is triggered when Venus and Mars harmonize on the 2nd, indicating a sultry-secret rendezvous. Fantasy fulfillment is possible. Venus (November 9th) and Mars (November 13th) in your sign see you at the very top of your game. These transits are much more satisfying this go around – last year saw the harsh auspices of the Cardinal Cross wreak havoc on your plans. Now you have been fortified, you can use this energy to far more productive ends. See, be seen and enjoy the positive social vibrations of the Gemini Full Moon on the 25th. Venus makes uncomfortable aspects on the 14th, 23rd and 24th, so these are not your best days though a partner may bring a fun surprise your way on the 23rd.

SCORPIO: A true love connection can be made on the 2nd, when Venus and Mars combine, activating very positive interactions. You can really connect with someone through shared hopes, wishes and dreams. A phenomenal New Moon in your sign on the 11th taps into the Jupiter – Pluto trine, ensuring your success for the upcoming year. This marvelous influence is augmented by very profitable developments associated with your career on the 10th and 13th. From the second half, you’ll prefer privacy and withdrawal. Venus (Nov. 9th) and Mars (Nov. 13th) transit Libra, suggesting retreat and a period of reflection. Your imagination and intuition will be strong in this phase, and you are likely cooking up some new strategies for the upcoming year. The 17th is very positive for journaling your experiences and expressing your wishes with clarity. Issues associated with your creative expression, a relationship within a love affair or with a child can be experienced around the 26th, when a very challenging angle between Saturn (in the area of values and resources) and Neptune (self expression, true romance and children) issues an uncomfortable ultimatum directly implicating your personal affairs. It’s possible financial hardships you are contending with are hindering your love relationship or desire towards creative self expression, even having children. Use your heart’s desire as motivation to get your financials in order. A revealing tip on the 13th can point you in the right direction.

SAGITTARIUS: Venus and Mars conjoin on the 1st to set you up for a huge breakthrough in your profession. There may be a bit going on behind the scenes this month, a New Moon on the 11th impacts your house of seclusion and privacy, tapping into the dynamic energy flow of the Jupiter – Pluto trine. You conduct your affairs effectively far from the public eye at this time. The 9th, 10th and 13th are beneficial for negotiations and implementing strategies that have a secretive undertone. Social life on the other hand will be quite vibrant, with many exciting invitations and events coming your way as Venus (Nov. 9th) and Mars (Nov. 13th) enter Libra, stimulating connectivity with others. A Full Moon on the 25th brings a culminating moment in a partnership. A challenging t-square formation at this time sees your energy being scattered in many directions, and this development could very well push you over the edge if you are not careful. Saturn and Neptune are applying in a very tough square at this lunation, and you may really be at odds with circumstances in your residential life or with a family member. This is an issue tying back to something that precipitated in the middle of 2013, perhaps there was a residential move, and it is now being drastically reconsidered. There could be an issue with the home, water damage that can’t be adequately repaired, or someone you live with has Neptune issues – alcohol or drug abuse could feature. At this point you have to make a decision for yourself about how to proceed. It might be a tough call, but if you have over idealized circumstances the truth will be apparent now that things can no longer go on this way. Sun conjunct Saturn in your sign on the 29th will see you taking control of the situation.

CAPRICORN: Strong social and professional prospects vie for your attention this month as Venus (Nov. 9th) and Mars (Nov. 13th) come to occupy the apex of your chart, stimulating your ambition and entrepreneurial pursuits. Meanwhile, transits of the Sun and Mercury in Scorpio and a Scorpio New Moon on the 11th offer powerful social and networking opportunities. You are likely coming into the esteem of very important people in your industry and making new associations connected to your recent accomplishments. With a rising profile, you stand to connect with more successful people. With Jupiter in an auspicious position, real expansion and prosperity are within reach. The 13th features a very favorable professional turning point. You may give an interview or have your talents showcased in the media somehow. Friends with benefits (like power and money) come into the frame around the 2nd, 5th, 10th, 17th, and 24th and make valuable introductions. Really favorable meetings transpire on these dates. One caveat for November: a challenging aspect between Neptune and Saturn on the 26th will have a damaging effect on your reputation if you have failed to be completely above board in all your dealings and have upheld all your legal and financial obligation to which you are bound by contracts. You may feel weird about your self image and identity over the Saturn – Neptune phase and may seek to try out esoteric philosophies, meditation or something similar. This is fine, but bear in mind you might be impressionable and steer clear of charlatans and addictive substances. Take a time out on the 30th to collect yourself.

AQUARIUS: A very dynamic New Moon in Scorpio on the 11th brings a stunning new prospect in your career and chosen profession into the frame. An opportunity that is extended now is the successful culmination of the hard working and learning phase that permeated between late – 2012 through 2014. A business partner or spouse may be lucky for you in this phase, and may have made a key introduction or helped you get this venture on track. Developments that have been playing out in secrecy or behind the scenes – a drive to manifest something that emanates from deep within your subconscious, is also a potent force at work here. You may express uneasiness at the transformative forces at work on the 5th, but this is just a signal you are onto something big. Modifications to an existing plan make it stronger and more effective and a partner offers good advice if you are willing to hear it. Positive vibrations surrounding your academic career, an opportunity to travel or lecture, or in the realm of media, publishing or broadcast that got ironed out and initiated last month are due as Venus ( Oct. 9th) and Mars (Oct. 13th) transit Libra and the realm of adventure and far horizons. Cultural activities and exchange are favored. There could be a financial oversight that is the cause of concern around the 26th. Where Neptune has obscured the reality of your income and earnings, there can be a reckoning when Saturn enters the picture, bringing a harsh reality check if one is due. The 29th is positive for checking your facts and creating a new strategy. Pleasurable social activities and interaction, maybe even a love affair, are all enticing possibilities over the Gemini Full Moon on the 25th. This lunation ties into the Saturn – Neptune square, so you may or may not need this diversion. Up to you!

PISCES: Incredible good fortune in a relationship is possible around the 2nd, when the third stunning culmination of Venus conjunct Mars affects your house of committed partnerships, fanning the flames of romantic and erotic desire. You can truly connect with someone on a meaningful way, emotion and sexuality are integrated at this time. The Moon from your house of True Romance connects in Cancer. There has never been a time such as this to realize your most heartfelt desires for love and connectivity. The New Moon in Scorpio on the 11th sets the pace for the month. Endeavors connected to academia, teaching, media and publishing are featured, you may also promote yourself to favorable results at this time, particularly on the 17th. Mercury transiting Scorpio from the 3rd augments this very favorably, and intuition serves you brilliantly on the 6th. Venus (Nov. 9th) and Mars (Nov. 13) come to highlight the area of intimacy and shared resources. You may be pursuing capital to start a business enterprise, if so circle the dates of the 13th and 24th, which are ideal for meetings and negotiation. You have the right combination of tact and diplomacy to make a good impression at this time. A Full Moon in Gemini on the 25th from the area of residence and personal life falls into a dynamic t-square connecting to Mercury conjunct Saturn (Sagittarius) and Neptune (Pisces). This can be a very contentious time for you personally as rivaling energies across your home/professional axis can really exert pressure on your sense of self, identity and ultimately feelings of personal security. Any t-square does, on the other hand, present an opportunity through crisis, and a professional offer that comes in on the 29th will require quick action, so don’t get too bogged down in this.
